The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is a pan-industry body concerned with all aspects of the built environment. Its members represent over 500,000 professionals involved in the construction industry and more than 25,000 construction firms.
Graham Watts OBE has been involved with CIC since 1989 and was appointed Chief Executive in 1991. Responsible for, amongst other things, effective communication with Government and other external agencies, Mr Watts is also currently Secretary of the Strategic Forum for Construction and its Economic and Olympic Task Forces.
Mr Watts delivered an enthralling seminar entitled "The Future of the Construction Industry: 2010 and Beyond", which considered how the new government would impact upon public spending and ultimately the built environment. ProTen Services' Managing Director, Martin Freeman attended the seminar and was grateful to have heard the ‘inside view' on the current and anticipated state of the industry.
After the seminar, Mr Freeman spoke with Mr Watts regarding radon gas and he enthusiastically accepted the invitation to pose with Radon Tee.
US non-profit organisation, CanSAR (Cancer Survivors Against Radon) is dedicated to preventing radon-induced lung cancer and saving lives through education and awareness, and is sponsoring the Radon Tee World Trek 2010. The campaign aims to bring social awareness to communities through the power of photos, videos and personal stories.
ProTen Services are taking the Tee on a national tour and will be adding photos to the social media campaign at www.facebook.com/radontee.
